About the Author
Vanessa has two master's degrees, enjoys writing and also works as a mental health therapist helping incredibly brave, interesting people on their journeys toward healing, self-discovery and loving themselves and others.
She spends far too much time hanging out in her imagination and drinking golden-delicious latte cappuccinos spiced with polka dotted umbrellas, while flying with butterflies and believing in the impossible.
Never far from a cat child, she will forever love animals and has had many weird jobs, including putting paperclips in envelopes (yes that was a real thing), picking cherries (was very bad at this and got in cherry throwing fights) and worked as a temp typist wearing a mini skirt way back when they were considered terribly risque.
Vanessa is a person living with a disability. Basically, she's a writer who forgets words all the time, but only the hard ones, like fork, spoon or discombobulate. She refers to many objects (far too often) as thingamabobs, whatchamadoolies and diddlybobbers. But people seem to understand and that's what counts.
